Why did we have burki-scherer.ch AA+ certified?

  1. In order to generate an additional relevant link on our website.
  2. Only 28 projects have been certified in the whole of Switzerland and B is the second letter in the alphabet.
  3. To increase the level of quality on the web in Switzerland.
  4. Media-friendly construction of websites. A website consists of three levels: Content, design and function. The content (HTML) should be and remain transformable. The design (CSS) should be adapted to the different media (e.g. screen, print). The function (e.g. JavaScript) should be upgradeable.
  5. We assume that our website is not of interest to blind persons. However, we would like to make it possible for disabled persons to experience the full contents of our website.
  6. Considering how blind persons see websites gave us the starting point for structured thinking.
  7. To approach potential customers who are forced to offer accessible pages by law or due to their customer segment.
  8. For reasons of practicality e.g. zooming.
  9. Because we were the first pre-press business in Switzerland to be certified under ISO 12647 and are now the first web agency to have its own website AA+ certified.
  10. The quality of our Internet products must be of the same high level as our pre-press products.
  11. A high-quality website (transformable content, functional design and upgradeable functionality) has a long life-span and represents value.
  12. The best prerequisite for writing a clean code is knowing how to write accessible websites. Development of know-how until the last detail of WCAG 1.0.
  13. So that we know what we are talking about.
